Google Pixel 3a

On 7 May 2019, Google presented the Google Pixel 3a at their own event. This is an affordable version of the Pixel 3. The biggest advantage to this phone is the operating system. This is Android the way Google intended it, without unnecessary additions and adjustments.

With the Pixel 3a you'll be the first to get the latest updates. Google also promises security updates for three years. Furthermore, the device has a beautiful 5.6-inch OLED display, an excellent 12.2-megapixel camera, and a 3.5mm port for your earbuds. This smartphone comes with 64GB of internal storage and a 3000mAh battery with quick-charge feature.

Stock Android with three years of security updates

While many phone brands customise the operating system and add additional apps, this Pixel 3a does not. The smartphone runs on stock Android, and the biggest advantage is that you will be the first to receive the latest software updates, as well as regular security updates for up to three years!

Stunning OLED screen in a compact casing

The Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch OLED display with a high screen resolution (2220x1080 pixels). Compared to other types of screens, the contrast on this screen is higher and the viewing angles are larger. Deep black is also really black. The format is compact and handy.

Excellent camera

On the back, you'll find the same single 12.2-megapixel camera that you'll find on the more expensive Pixel phones. Combined with Google's smart software, you can shoot pin-sharp pictures and videos in any lighting situation. You can make video calls and selfies with the 8-megapixel front camera.

The Google Pixel 3a has a storage capacity of 64GB. The operating system takes up a small amount of this space. The rest can be used to store pictures, videos, apps, and games. A microSD card slot is missing, so you'll have to use cloud services for extra storage space.

Like the other Google Pixel 3 devices, the sides are pressure sensitive. Google calls this Active Edge; with a slight squeeze you can perform certain actions. For example, you can launch Google Assistant, the smart speech assistant.
